As announced by the ACT government on 23 August 2017, the ACT Migration Programme was closed to overseas applications with immediate effect.
Having that said, there are still several exemptions which include:
- those who reside in Canberra (they can still lodge for subclass 190 application as long as they meet the nomination criteria).
- those who are living in overseas and they have close ties (either family or genuine job offer).
- those who are living in overseas and they have completed a PHD at an ACT university.
What happen to those who have already submitted and paid for the service?
If the application and service fee had been paid by 23 August 2017, the application will be processed in queue order.
